Due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic, many people had to cancel travel plans they were excited for — be it a weekend getaway or the trip planned long ago. Either way, recent surveys show that people who can, will want to catch up on missed travel opportunities when the crisis subsides. This has led to the hotel and tourism industry hoping for a wave of ‘revenge travelling’ — people going on extra trips or splurging after the Corona Crisis because they were deprived of that possibility for so long.

But will travel really bounce back as quickly as some seem to think? Will the way people can travel change greatly after this pandemic? When will travel come back? While it’s impossible to say exactly how and when travel will come back, we can be sure that it will. After having been confined during lockdowns and deprived of going anywhere, people really want to travel and treat themselves. The spirit of travel all around the world seems to be really strong as travellers are taking off to nearby destinations for vacations in an attempt to Revenge Travel. It sure does sound like a violent thing to do, but we assure you it is not.

Many are taking to places that are a little outside and remote, well how else can people be sure to distance themselves from crowds?? Domestic travel is the best option for travellers right now as trends show many heading out to the hills, which is a good and easy place to follow all the covid safety measures as well as satisfy the traveller inside.

It is a great time to enjoy the advent of winters, but we must also maintain all the Standard Operating Procedures in order to save ourselves from the virus. Remember, that if things go out-of-hand once more, we will be back under a lockdown.
