Hiking is a long, vigorous walk, usually on trails or footpaths in the countryside. Walking for pleasure was actually developed in Europe during the eighteenth century. Religious pilgrimages have existed much longer but they involve walking long distances for a spiritual purpose associated with specific religions.
Nowadays, hiking has become one of the most popular outdoor activities in the world. We can see a lot of People are getting out and traveling on foot to embark on some best hiking vacations in national parks and wilderness areas around the globe. And also, did you know? Hiking clothing, footwear, backpacks, trekking poles, and snacks are some of the best-selling items at outdoor retail stores. Isn’t it wow? Walking was the very first and most basic form of self-transport. What we now call “hiking” has been a basic function of human existence since the very beginning, but today it means something far different than it did to our ancestors. Many of us exercise our minds all day but do little for our bodies. Or maybe we hit the gym for a couple of hours each week. While Gyms offer tremendous value, they pale out in comparison to the revitalizing energy a few hours of hiking can generate. Don’t you think so?
