Well, Conscious travel is to make sure that when you are traveling, you do so heedfully, by considering the effects of your trip on the environment. Conscious travel is becoming increasingly famous as the awareness of global warming and climatic changes is increasing.

How to be a conscious traveller? You can use disposables that are biodegradable, to start with; you can try and make an effort to produce as little waste as possible by using reusable stuff, etc. It is not as difficult as it sounds; as the saying goes “it’s all in the mind”. In this case it is really in the mind.

The benefits of this movement extend across communities, the economy and the environment. How so? Let me give you an example: When you visit any place, the aboriginal community and culture is something you should look for and contribute to safeguarding it by buying stuff that’s locally made, staying in local hotels and eating local food. You can also be supportive of the local economy by doing so. We already talked earlier about how to be mindful about the environment.

The term ‘conscious travel’ might scare you into thinking you’ll end up in a muddy hut somewhere in a forest-like village.. But that’s not what it is. There is a lot more to it.
